I’m Jacob Balanescu, a UX designer based out of the greater Boston area. What started as a graphic design journey creating media for web and print alike ultimately transformed into a career that grants me the privilege of doing what I love every single day. I get to design for a living. What more could I ask for?

I graduated with a BA in digital media production long ago. Since then, I have worked primarily in the tech sector while overlapping with marketing and research. I’m no stranger to the more complex parts of interaction, product, and web design. Above all else, no matter which one of the aforementioned I have my hands in, one thing always remains constant. It must look beautiful.

In my spare time I’m either songwriting or playing my acoustic guitar. Music in itself is healing, and it grants me the perfect outlet to unwind, channel, or seek further inspiration. The overlaps between music and art are nearly infinite, and it gives me much joy applying these similar principles in both aspects of my discipline. I could go on, but I’m  digressing.
